Ermm. Well I went to my Aunts place in London for my easter break as usual. I had a lot of fun. Wish that the break was longer.
Went to Eva's place on 16th. Was really glad to see everyone. Went out most of the time, was hardly ever at home. Spent a lot of money on shopping.lol.
Had to go for mass services on thursday, good friday and easter sunday. They were really very very long.
After mass on sunday we went to a party at one of ma mates place. It did snow a bit on sunday. I love snow. But it hardly ever settles here.
Was hardly ever at home. Most of the time didnt come home before 3am. I love it in London. Its soo much more fun. Wish it was a bit closer to Preston though, so i could go there every weekend.
Came back to preston a week later. Didnt wanna come but had to come becaus had some course work to do.

9) Talking on the phone during lecture could drain out your battery ( ran out of reasons that make sense)

Week 5
The theme of the video was super powers.Well this week we were given a camea and asked to go out and take video shots. We decided to stay back and do our video shooting in the lab itself. At first we made will sit on a chair and spin then nicky and then matthew followed. we shot the video in two different angles.
we wanted to make people change in the video automatically while spinning. The aim was to make people transofm automatically in to another person of thing.
In the end we put a box on the chair but had to cut it out as the box had to be spun manually.
The length of the video we shot was approximately 5 minutes which will be cut in half when we edit it because we will be speeding up the vidoe.

The Ethics of Photo Manipulation(My Images)
I have manipulated 3 images. Below i am going to display and explain the images and what I have manipulated in the images:
1)
The picture at the side is a warning sign we clicked in the students union. It reads " Caution in the event of fire Do not use the lift"
The above image is the oe that I have manipulated. It is somewhat funny. It reads "Caution in the event of fire Scream Like a Girl And RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!" This picture looks quite realistic.
2)
The above picture is an original picture that we clicked of a man in the bus whic was parked. The man was about to sneeze.
The above image is the manipualted image. In the image instead of the man about to sneeze it shows as if the man was playing a mouth horn. This isn't a very good manipulation but its preety convincing.
3)
The above picture was clicked in the Preston Town Centre. It is a picture of a person playing the flute. Notice his shoulder theres nothing on it
The above image is the manipulated image. as you can clearly see that the person has a parrot sitting on his shoulder which was not there in the original image.
The Ethics of Digital Photo Manipulation
Image manipulation can often be bad and misleading. Given below are what we feel that the original picture and the manipulated images mean.
1) The soldier:
The first image was of the soldier sticking his hand out more likely giving instructions to the people. And it looks like everything is normal.
The second photo was of the soldier facing the other direction, casually. And a man was standing up in the audience. The soldier was not even looking at the man who was standing.
The third photo which was manipulated shows the soldier halting the man who was standing up. The man looks as if he was running towards the soldier. This created a view that looked as if he was aggressive.
2) The Old black and white Photo:
The first picture is of four people. The second picture which is the manipulated picture has only three people in it. One person is completely removed from the picture and made to look as if the person was never there. This could cause controversies.
3) The magazine with the African-American:
The first magazine i.e Newsweek has a picture of a serial killer, who is a African American male. He is facing the camera.
The second Image is of the same person but it is darker than the original image. making the man look as if he was hiding in a shadow. This gives people the idea that he is guilty and dangerous.
4) E.T:
In this picture they have taken out the weapons. Changed the look of E.T and added more bikes and people in the picture. This is not a problem as it does not effect anything in a bad way. This picture is a good manipulation.
5) Two halves of the woman:
In this photo they have split up the women into two different sides. One is Perfect and the other imperfect. Image mauplation can be bad as you cant see the real image of the person. The woman in the picture is actually old and has wrinkles on her face as you can see on the right hand side.
6)Smoke:
In this picture there is more smoke than there actually was, and making it darker and making a "disaster" more bad than it actually was.
7) The Beauty and the Ugly:
The manuplated picture was amazing. In the manuplated image the girl looked very beautiful and young. Where as in the original picture the girl looked ugly and also older.
